The Natural Patch Co. started around the dining table in 2019 when they had been spending the long summer with their children around the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. One constant had been holding them back from full enjoyment. It was the sound of mosquitoes and the inevitable swelling, blemishes and itchiness that came with them. The idea started with the kids rubbing citronella candle wax on their clothes, and this sparked an innovation. They began working with Australian Research Universities on material's design. They set out to achieve two goals with their patches. 100% biodegradability along with scientifically controlled release of vapours to allow the effects of their products to be maintained for hours at a time.
